Thursday. Power Training. Sad Faces All Around.

Thursday afternoons are reserved for a special brand of torture that Shifu likes to call ‘Power Training’, bunny hops up and down mountains, weight training followed by intense Sanda regimes and all the while being belittled by our teacher. Luckily, we’ve recently discovered a new technique for dealing with such punishment!

We were beginning the training session by holding a press-up position with our feet elevated on the stretching bar, after a couple of minutes our cores were burning, and shoulders aching. So what did Joachim do? He put on this motivational video

Now, I’m not saying it helped make the pain go away, in fact it made it worse. But if you want to add some extra intensity to a plank workout, I recommend putting this video on in front of you. With the laughter ripping through our core muscles, we hardly made it to the end of the five minutes.
